I started collecting Ukuleles during the summer of 2001.  I quickly found out that Ukulele sales and support were far and few between.  Most guitar stores only had one or two models and inevitably they were of lower quality.  To make matters worse, the guitar stores had little understanding of the Ukulele and couldn't provide any meaningful support.

I opened The Ukulele Shop to help spread the 'Aloha' spirit that the Ukulele provides.  I want to provide my clients everything I didn't have when I started my Ukelele journey.  Because of this I travel all over looking for the best Ukulele brands and accessories available. Bottom line: if I don't want to use it, own it or play it, then I won't put it in my store.
